The
Briesacher-Hayes lineage has an early beginning, starting in the early 1800s, when several families came to American for a better way of life. Each family had their own reasons to come to the land of good and plenty.
The first family of the Briesacher-Hayes Farm is Johannes
Briesacher who was born in Offwiller, Alsace, France. He and his wife Catharine
(nee Kopp) and their six sons traveled to America in hopes of a
better life.
The next family is Thomas J. Hayes, Sr., his wife Maraget (nee Frawley) who came to America from the celtic land of Rathkeale, Limmerick, Ireland. They settle in Black Hawk Co., Iowa.
The rest of the families that make up the lineage of the current owners of the Briesacher-Hayes Farm are those who have married a Briesacher or a Hayes. We currently have family ancestry vitals back into the 1700s. Happy traveling!
